The Client

The “Client” is the one grabbing the library from the server computer.

Connect to a Server

From Media Center go to File | Library | Search for Media Servers. Media Center will automatically find any Media Servers running on your local network. If just one is found, that will be offered as the default for startup. If more than one is found, you will be asked to choose.

To connect to a Media Server that is not running on your local LAN (perhaps you are at work) go to File | Library | Library Manager and select “Add”. Type in a name and enter the server’s IP address.

Disconnect from a Server

Go to File | Library and select a different library.
