Sort the Content Pane

You can sort the information displayed in the content pane simply by clicking on the appropriate column heading. Click on the genre column to sort by genre. Click twice to sort in reverse order.

To sort by two (or more) different criteria, simply hold down the Shift, then click on the columns you want sorted. For example, if you want to view your files sorted by artist name, then by year, then by song title (name), hold down the Shift key, and click on Artist, then Year, then Name.

You can set Media Center to automatically save the current view (Tools | Options | Tree & Vew Settings), you can modify the default sort behavior, and you can quickly save a sort order by right-clicking on a column header.
