Available Tasks
Media Scheduler can schedule Media Center related tasks like recording broadcasts at a certain time, or starting and stopping at a certain time.
Start Media Center
This task will start (and stop) Media Center at the specified times. If you configure Media Center to “Jump to Playing Now” (Tools | Options | General) this feature can be used as a sleep timer, or alarm clock.
Start Recording
This task will start Media Center and record for the specified times. Recording uses the settings from Media Center, so be certain that Media Center is properly configured when performing this task.
Start TV Recording.
This task will start Media Center and record for the specified times. Recording uses the settings from Media Center, so be certain that Media Center is properly configured when performing this task.
Shut Down.
This will close Media Center. Use this to have the program function as a sleep timer.
Start Custom Task.
Insert a program path and command line, and Media Scheduler will launch the task at the specified time. For example, you can have Media Scheduler automatically launch a web page at a specific time every day, or you can have it launch other programs.
