Additional Information on How Rules Work

When a Smartlist gets a track list, it first retrieves a list of all the tracks in the Media Library. It then goes through this list one by one and checks to see if each song complies with all of the Smartlist's rules. If a song meets all of the rules, it is included. Otherwise, it is discarded. This means that the rules are additive - each one builds on the last.

This addition of simple rules allows for the easy creation of very complex Playlists like "Billboard Pop Rock hits from the 80s by Solo Female Vocalists."
